Our Baby Girl’s Room | Getting a little personal…

Today we are going to step back from weddings and get a little more personal . I don’t always post a lot of stuff other than the beautiful couple that I LOVE to shoot, but today, I’ll make an exception.

As many of you may know we welcomed our first baby in early December. You better believe that when I found out we were having a girl, project nursery was full speed ahead! Of course it had to be perfect! I didn’t really have a theme for her room – I just knew it was going to be all things pretty, things that I like and things that i hoped our baby girl will like! So many people asked me “so what’s your theme going to be” and I would look at them blankly and say ” uh, I don’t know… it’s whatever I like”

I was a real stickler about getting this room done before she was born. I had my husband do so much painting in a short amount of time that I’m sure a few of his brain cells are still recovering from paint fumes (just in case you are wondering why he’s acting a little weirder than normal :) If I had known she was going to be 12 days past my due date, I would have relaxed a little bit!

You can also view and rate Junes room from Project nursery. Personally, I think it deserves a 5 out of 5 stars :)

Favorite Items:

Dresser – was originally a brown wooden 1940’s dresser from craigslist painted purple by my husband – new  knobs painted sea mist blue and gold

Mailbox painted sea mist blue next to bedroom door for all of June’s personal mail that will be coming from Grandma, Grandpa, Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny.

Welcome to my favorite room in our house!

This is BEAUTIFUL! I have a few questions on where you got some things (we are expecting a baby girl in April!).

    -owl lamp
    -dog picture above dresser
    -mobile on ceiling
    -pink night stand

I could ask where EVERYTHING is from of course :). You did a wonderful job!ReplyCancel

Hi I LOVE your little girls room! You did an amazing job putting it all together! I too have some questions if you don’t mind … What kind of gold spray paint did you use on the picture frames her name letters and the gold mirror? I am having a hard time finding that perfect gold.ReplyCancel

I believe its Krylon’s Gold Metallic Spray paint that I got at Jo Ann Fabrics. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular :)ReplyCancel
